BOM Meeting Tuesday June 3rd 2014
Ballycanew National School
Summary Report

Staff: The BOM was notified of the retirement of Mrs Anne Rath effective from the end of June this year. She has been a teacher in Ballycanew since 2001 and Deputy Principal since 2008. In latter years she brought great expertise and knowledge to her role as school Learning Support/Resource Teacher. We thank her for her dedicated service, professionalism and kindness in the performance of her duties as teacher. We wish her well in her retirement.

ASD Project: Work will begin on site by the end of June. I would like to notify parents that there will be disruption to traffic and school life in general. Your patience and flexibility with these adjustments is much appreciated. Details will be texted or emailed to you as they become available.

Book Rental Scheme: Funding has been approved by the DES. Mrs Mary Kirwan Doyle and members of the parents association are busy organizing the scheme at present. We will keep you informed regarding arrangements for this coming school year.

Road Traffic Concerns: The Principal has contacted Wexford County Council expressing grave concern about the inadequate provision of road traffic measures outside the school. A meeting with the engineer will be held in the near future to discuss the matter.
